SustainabilityResponsible Care
Chemistry, handled with respect.
Responsible distribution is more than a slogan — it's a daily operational discipline. Here is what it looks like at LOK.
“The chemicals we move power the products millions of people depend on. That responsibility doesn't end at the invoice.”
Five pillars of responsible chemistry.
Responsible Sourcing
We do business only with principal manufacturers who meet recognised quality, safety, and environmental standards. We audit our supply base on certifications, plant practices, and downstream regulatory compliance. No corner-cutting at the source means no surprises at the plant.
Safe Handling & Storage
Our warehouse infrastructure is engineered for safe segregation of incompatible chemicals, leak containment, fire-detection, and trained handling personnel. We participate in Responsible Care principles where applicable, and all staff handling hazardous chemicals are trained and certified.
Logistics with a Lower Footprint
Route consolidation, full-truckload optimisation, and shared bulk movements reduce the carbon intensity of every metric tonne we ship — without compromising lead time. We actively seek carrier partners who operate modern, maintained fleets with documented DG training.
Compliance as a Baseline
Hazmat declarations, MSDS dissemination, REACH support and waste-handling guidance are part of our standard service — not premium extras. Every customer, regardless of volume, receives full regulatory documentation. Compliance is built into our operating model, not layered on top.
People & Community
LOK Chemicals invests in its people through regular safety training, cross-functional development, and a culture where operational discipline is recognised and rewarded. We aim to be a company that the communities around our warehouse and offices can be proud of.
Our baseline, not our ambition.
Responsible Care principles guide how we select suppliers, operate our warehouse, manage hazmat shipments, and train our people. These are operating standards, not aspirational targets.
